July Full Buck Moon July 02, 2015

Buck Moon copiaThe summer skies will light up July 2, 2015 at 02:19 UTC. The full moon in July represents what many natives call “Thunder Moon”, since July is a time when rains and downpours appear allowing Mother Nature to give her wrath to people who mistreat her. At the same time, being so merciful, she would provide support and fostering to drought and feeding her playground through surges of water.

To the Native Americans, Moons represented the skies and that is why some call it where Gods lives. The full moon in July represents what many natives call “Thunder Moon”, since July is a time when rains and downpours appear allowing Mother Nature to give her wrath to people who mistreat her. At the same time, being so merciful, she would provide support and fostering to drought and feeding her playground through surges of water.

Since July is normally the month when the new antlers of buck deer push out of their foreheads in coatings of velvety fur, the full moon of this moon is called the full Buck Moon. Another name for this month’s Moon was the Full Hay Moon.

This Full Moon is about balancing our commitment to our career and families. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them.

The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between roots and direction. With the Moon full symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems.

Take time to pray and visualize what you want during this full moon.

This is a good time to cleanse and charge your crystals under the Sun during the day and the Moon by night.

Full Moon Ritual

All our ancestors used spiritual baths or sweat lodges during the full moon.  Water is a medium that can transfer energy.  I find that using 1/2lb. of Epsom salts in the water helps to cleanse the spiritual body.  During a spiritual bath you need to slow down, take a deep breath, feel the water around you, let it wash and cleanse every part of you.  Let it carry the hurts, aches, negativity, grief, rejection etc…  Feel its strength and purity.  Feel the water surround you, comfort you.  Let it rebirth you.

It is beneficial to have an in depth spiritual reading every moon cycle. Since every moon cycle represents a change, it not only affects our external forces but our internal forces as well. If you would like to get a reading with me CLICK HERE!

A Reminder to Live Now

Some people spend so much time considering what happens to us after death, they forget to LIVE in the now!Being a spiritual advisor I have many people contact me wanting to know about life after death and what has happened to their loved ones. It’s understandable to want to know about your loved ones. I feel that most people have lived as well as they possibly could and you should not worry about where they are in the spirit world. I believe many would be surprised at who is at high levels in spirit.

Put aside religious teachings and think about the fact that The Divine Supreme being is pure love. If that is the case I cannot see harsh judgments coming from the essence of pure love.

So my advice is to start being in the moment and living now.  Do not be one of those people who spend so much time considering what happens after death that they forget about now.   Remember to LIVE in the now!

Many blessings,

My Father’s 97Th Birthday

Me , My Mother and Father in 1967

Me , My Mother, and Father in 1967

I wrote a tribute on Father’s Day to my father, well June 26 is his birthday. This year he would have been 97 years old. I cannot begin to imagine him at that age. The last fifteen years of his life was hard on him as he suffered from Parkinson’s disease. I watched him go down bit by bit and it was rough as he had always been such a strong, intelligent, and powerful man.

At the age of 76 he could not do anything for himself anymore.  Thanksgiving weekend 1994 he ended up in the hospital and collapsed into a coma within hours.  This is where my biggest spiritual learning came into place.

He was comatose and I knew that he had a great fear of dying. What I did was put myself in a hypnotic state and I projected myself to his hospital room and there I took his spirit and we traveled to the other side (the fifth dimension). I had never done this before in my life, but I was desperate for him to be able to pass and not be kept alive on machines

I figured my mother would be the first one to greet him as she passed away several years before. Surprisingly the person that greeted my father on the other side was his army sergeant who had been killed in World War Two. My father was so happy to see him again. I waited at the entrance and my father went and visited so many people that he loved and loved him. I could hear him and the others laughing and talking.  When he was finished he came to me and we transported back into his hospital room and he went back into his body.  The next day he died. I knew that he died without fear.

The following morning as I awoke my father was screaming into my right ear everything he wanted me to know. I woke up saying, “Dad, you’re hurting my ear. Stop talking so loud.” I then did my best to remember exactly what he had been saying. It amazed me. I had never had such a spiritual connection in my life. Over the next few days he appeared to me, each time with a message. Throughout the years he has continued to communicate and on rare occasions I have been able to see him. It’s absolutely fascinating. He’s definitely my main Spirit Guide.

So not only did my father teach me so much when he was living, but he taught me a great deal after he died.  So I attribute my spiritual abilities as being inherited from him.

I know that I was blessed to have such a wonderful man as my father in my life.  So I just want to say “Thank you Daddy for everything. I know you will be waiting for me when I cross over. I love you.”

Your daughter,

Remembering and honoring Michael Jackson Six Years after His Passing.

terrific-picture-of-the-king-copiaIt’s hard to believe it’s been six years since Michael Jackson passed. True legends never die and Michael Jackson will always be remembered as one of the greatest entertainers ever.

Michael’s style was unique and totally original. From the time he became famous as a child it was evident that there was something different about this young boy. As he grew and became an adult he proved what a remarkable artist he was with his dynamic album “Thriller.” His dancing was magical and there was no way you could not take your eyes off of him when he performed. He knew how to captivate an audience.

His charitable work was a constant love of his. When he was alive he gave to more charities than any other entertainer at that time. He had great empathy for those that were suffering in this world. He understood suffering as he did not always have an easy life growing up and being famous. They were both difficult and filled with hardships. People only saw the glitz and the glamour and not what went on behind the scenes.

No matter what he was going through Michael always did his best to show appreciation and love for his fans. He understood that they were the reason he was successful.

His passing at the age of 50 was a shock for so many, but I feel that the pressures he went through took a hard toll on his life. What he did was leave a great legacy of work in his music, dancing, poetry, writing, and humanitarian work.

I was privileged to be able to speak to his spirit after his passing and I learned a great deal about Michael Jackson that I never knew. I had not been a fan of his although I always knew he was a great entertainer. I prefer hard rock and roll and his type of music just did not appeal to me.

Channeling his spirit changed my life in more ways than one. I never would have thought of contacting his spirit, but I was asked by a radio station if I could contact him a few days after his passing. I was able to do it on radio and from there I continued channeling him until he had delivered the messages that he wanted his fans to hear and then it was time for him to move forward on his spiritual journey.

If you would like to hear one of the messages I received from Michael’s spirit Click Here.

Getting close to his spirit helped me understand this gentle soul and what he went through during his lifetime. It’s easy for people to judge another, but until you walk or moonwalk in another’s shoes, you do not know what they have gone through. Michael was a beautiful soul who was greatly misunderstood. I know that he is happy and at peace in the spirit world.

Whenever I put my CD player on jukebox and the song ‘Billie Jean’ comes up I just consider it a little hello from Michael and it always makes me smile. His music was the gift he left the world and through it he will always communicate.

His music and performances will always live on. Many generations from now people still will be emulating his performances. His legacy will never die!

Many blessings,

Welcome the Summer Solstice June 21, 2015

On this the longest day of the yearThe solstice heralds the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere on June 21 2015 at 12:38 P.M. EDT

Sol + stice derives from a combination of Latin words meaning “sun” + “to stand still.” As the days lengthen, the sun rises higher and higher until it seems to stand still in the sky.

The summer solstice is a time to celebrate the ending of the waxing year and the beginning of the waning year, in preparation for the harvest to come. Midsummer is when all may absorb the Sun’s warming rays and it is a celebration of fertility, not only for humans, but also for crops, animals and all beings.

The summer solstice is the longest day of the year and the first day of summer. While those in the Northern Hemisphere cover up with sunscreen, residents in the Southern Hemisphere will be wrapping up in their warm clothes in honor of the winter solstice — the shortest day of the year and official start of winter.

Stepping into sacred time is becoming more and more important to our success as spiritual entrepreneurs. Focus on what you want to accomplish over the next few months that will bring peace and happiness into your life.

Stay out of your head as much as possible. Be more of an observer of your thoughts than the thinker of them. Quiet your mind and spend time in nature reconnecting yourself. This is where summer can be a very healing time.

Every single line of energy we have in our bodies and light bodies is being opened, expanded and utilized right now – and some of these energy lines have never been opened up inside of us in this way before. So it can feel a little startling, disconcerting, even bring up anger or frustration. It can also make you feel euphoric, energized, and like your gifts are being magnified – because they are.

We are receiving yet another upgrade to our human and light systems. In other words, our cellular structure is being prepared very quickly, in time for this new energy that Summer Solstice and a number of other celestial events are bringing in. Our spirits are being more fully integrated with our bodies. For some of you it’s happening right now and for some, it will happen closer to or on or just after Summer Solstice.

You know how this whole year so far has been an acceleration of your release of all that does not serve you? Well, right now, it’s as if we’re being squeezed and internally shifted to facilitate the massive release of what remains that needs to leave us.

If ever there was a time to let go and allow… that time is now. The more you resist it, or live in your head about it, the harder it will feel. The more you can allow this energetic/spiritual/physical upgrade, the easier and more amazing you will experience your transformation and success.

The Summer Solstice is called Midsummer or Litha in some medieval and Craft traditions; and Alban Hefin or Alban Heruin in other Celtic and Druidic traditions. In the mythical cycle, this is the end of the reign of the Oak King, and the beginning of the Holly King’s rule.

Litha is a time of great magical power. All forms of Sun magic are going to be amplified, and especially effective for love, healing and prosperity. This is also a very good time to perform blessings for your pets and home.

May the children of Earth awaken, rise up, and be about healing and blessing we need to give one another, and for our holy Mother Earth, our home. In the way of our ancestors, we honor the Turning.

Early Celebrations

Awed by the great power of the sun, civilizations have for centuries celebrated the first day of summer otherwise known as the Summer Solstice, Midsummer (see Shakespeare), St. John’s Day, or Litha.

The Celts and Slavs celebrated the first day of summer with dancing and bonfires to help increase the sun’s energy. The Chinese marked the day by honoring Li, the Chinese Goddess of Light.

In ancient Egypt, the Solstice herald the New Year. In Ancient Egypt, the summer solstice preceded the appearance of the Sirius star, which the Egyptians believed was responsible for the annual flooding of the Nile that they relied upon for agriculture. Because of this, the Egyptian calendar was set so that the start of the year coincided with the appearance of Sirius, just after the solstice.

The ancient Chinese honored the Yin on the Solstice In ancient China, the summer solstice was the yin to the winter solstice’s yang—literally. Throughout the year, the Chinese believed, the powers of yin and yang waxed and waned in reverse proportion to each other. At the summer solstice, the influence of yang was at its height, but the celebration centered on the impending switch to yin. At the winter solstice, the opposite switch was honored.

Perhaps the most enduring modern ties with Summer Solstice were the Druids’ celebration of the day as the “wedding of Heaven and Earth”, resulting in the present day belief of a “lucky” wedding in June. Now we understand why June has traditionally been the most popular time of the year to be married.

Today, the day is still celebrated around the world – most notably in England at Stonehenge and Avebury, where thousands gather to welcome the sunrise on the Summer Solstice. Stonehenge is an ancient prehistoric site and has been a place of worship and celebration at the time of Summer Solstice since time immemorial.

Pagan spirit gatherings or festivals are also common in June, when groups assemble to light a sacred fire, and stay up all night to welcome the dawn.

Summer Solstice Fun Facts

  • Pagans called the Midsummer moon the “Honey Moon” for the mead made from fermented honey that was part of wedding ceremonies performed at the Summer Solstice.
  • Ancient Pagans celebrated Midsummer with bonfires, when couples would leap through the flames, believing their crops would grow as high as the couples were able to jump.
  • Midsummer was thought to be a time of magic, when evil spirits were said to appear. To thwart them, Pagans often wore protective garlands of herbs and flowers. One of the most powerful of them was a plant called ‘chase-devil’, which is known today as St. John’s Wort and still used by modern herbalists as a mood stabilizer.

“Whatever is dreamed on this night, will come to pass.” ~ William Shakespeare

Now is the perfect time to connect to the Earth’s Energy. If you have wanted to make changes in your life is never too late to  create a new you !

Happy 52nd Birthday Johnny Depp!

His eyes simply captivate me!

His eyes simply captivate me!

June 09, 2015 Johnny Depp turns 52 years old. Johnny proves that good things do get better with age! He has been a part of our culture for so long and he inspires and motivates many people. I send out best wishes and blessings to him on his birthday. I hope that he has a wonderful day with family and friends, and lives a long time so that he continues to delight and entertain us.

Johnny is a fine actor who always surprises me with his performances. I hope someday he makes a CD of music. He is a fine musician who accidentally fell in to acting. Some people do not realize that he came to Los Angeles to be a rock star. He was destined for fame one way or another and it came to him through acting.

Worldwide this man is loved and there has to be something beautiful inside of his soul to attract so much love. He definitely has the key to touch the hearts of so many. He is quite a remarkable actor, musician, and seems like nice man who has learned a lot of spiritual truth. His role choices are often quirky and he brings to each one uniqueness and strength quite unmatched by the majority of movie ’stars’.

I know that I have Johnny Depp Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. This infection started for me around 1993 and has progressed over the years. The first movie that really caught my attention was “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.” I knew after seeing that movie that there was a lot more to Johnny Depp then just being a pretty boy. Over the years he has proven what a fine actor he is. The diversity of roles that he chooses is astounding. I’m sure each one of you has a favorite movie or character that he has played. Please share your thoughts about Johnny Depp in honor of his birthday.

It would certainly be the biggest thrill of my life if I could meet Johnny Depp. I might as well put it out to the universe because miracles do happen!

A Dose of Depp a day keeps the doctor away!

Many blessings to you Johnny,
Cherokee Billie

P.S. Don’t tell anyone, but I have a crush on Johnny!

Learn about Auras

aurasThe Care and Keeping of Auras

Derived from the ancient Greek word avra, meaning “breeze,” the word “aura” refers to a subtle field of electromagnetic energy which surrounds the body, extending as far as five feet in a person with healthy energy. One’s aura is not a singular energy layer, but is in fact comprised of five distinctive layers which correspond to different levels of existence.

An unhealthy, depleted aura signals a manifestation of discord within the body, whereas a clean, vibrant aura reveals the presence of a compassionate and well-attuned consciousness. From a practical standpoint, auras help us acknowledge imbalances as they occur within our both our spiritual and physical bodies.

Layers of the Human Aura

The first layer of the aura corresponds to the physical body — the building blocks, functions and processes which play a role in physical health and wellness. This aura layer usually manifests as a sheer layer of energy close to the body. The second layer of the aura corresponds to the emotional body, appearing healthy or unhealthy based on the predominant emotions of the subject and the vibrational level of those emotions. Layer three of the aura relates to the mental body — the part of us that forms our belief systems and stores our memories. The fourth layer corresponds to the spiritual body, which deals with our karma and higher planes of existence. Finally, the fifth layer represents the astral body, also referred to as our “etheric double,” an exact replica of the physical body that can interact on the astral plane of existence.

Interpreting Auras

The layers of one’s aura do not remain the same from year to year; in fact, they fluctuate every day based on the interaction of various psych-spiritual factors. If a person is suffering from a physical illness (like the flu, for example) the evidence would be visible in the appearance of the first aura layer. Fluctuating moods and emotions could be tracked by viewing the second layer of the aura, while issues relating to mental wellness may manifest as fluctuations to the third layer, and so on. It can be difficult to distinguish the different layers, especially for those who aren’t skilled at viewing and interpreting auras. However, most people can be trained through spiritual practice and aura gazing techniques to distinguish the layers of the aura and what different colors and changes represent.

When it comes to auric energy field colors, there are a rainbow of hues in which auras manifest. In general, the clearer and more vibrant the color, the healthier the aura. Individuals with damaged auras may show holes and tears in their auric field, or murky, polluted colors that look “dirty.” An individual with a red aura may be extraordinarily passionate, while an orange aura usually represents a creative, dynamic individual. Green auras are often seen in empathetic people who are strongly connected to nature, while blue auras (a quite common color) represent a sense of relaxed calm in the individual. Predominant aura colors can fluctuate multiple times in one day based on what a person is doing or feeling. Understanding how to interpret auras can help practitioners delve deeper into the psyche of an individual and pinpoint trouble spots in their everyday life.

Cleansing and Strengthening Your Aura

Even for the healthiest individual, it’s important to practice regular cleansing and strengthening of the auric field. Auras are magnetic in nature, accumulating environmental debris. Empaths often find they pick up energies from others that latch onto their own aura, which can be problematic for their physical and subtle bodies. To combat this, it’s important to perform regular auric cleansings. Smudging the aura with a bundle of white sage is an effective way to cleanse and strengthen all five auric levels. Bathing in warm water infused with a cup or so of sea salt is another method (made even more effective by meditation during the bath.) Regardless of how you choose to cleanse and fortify your aura, it’s important to ground and center your energy through meditation and visualize your aura being healed, cleansed and imbued with a resilient strength.

Maintaining Auric Balance

Besides practicing regular aura cleansing and strengthening sessions (through smudging, sea salt baths and meditation,) it’s important to strive for auric balance. Working with (or even carrying) protective and healing crystals and gemstones like amethyst, quartz, amber and green tourmaline can help keep your aura in balance. Practicing healthy lifestyle habits is another good way to protect your aura and keep it in check. Your aura is your personal security – arm and ready your physical body with adequate sleep, enough sunlight, moderate exercise and nutritious whole foods. Avoiding negative people and situations also helps to bolster the power of your auric energy. Your body is a temple, remember to honor it as such.

Even though auric energy may be difficult to perceive with the naked eye, it is responsible for both regulating and balancing multiple systems within the body. Improving your intuitive abilities can help you clear your mind’s eye and better understand what your own aura says about the state of your own personal health. Cultivate the strength and vitality of your aura, and you can expect to be repaid in full as your newfound outer radiance shines on all those closest to you.

If you seek to transform yourself and improve the effectivity of your communication, contact me, Cherokee Billie, to learn more about the strength of your own spiritual energies and importance of a healthy aura.

Many blessings,
