Leonard Nimoy, 1931–2015
A cultural icon like no other
Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning (February 27, 2015) at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles.
He was 83.
His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed his death, saying the cause was end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

We ALL are ONE!!
Love is all about meeting someone else’s needs where they need it, not where we think they need it based on our own desires and experiences. ~ Cherokee Billie
I was doing my normal thing last night working quietly on my computer at 8:00 PM when I heard my front door open and the alarm go off and then the door immediately close. To say I was freaked out is an understatement. My heart was going a hundred miles an hour and I immediately called my adopted son Rene and told him someone had entered the apartment. He said, “I’m on my way.”
Because of being robbed two years ago I have a wrought iron security door on my bedroom entrance and I knew that whoever entered could not get in to where I was. Yet, it did not stop the fear from running through my body. Thinking someone was in my apartment was way more than I could take. Rene called me and told me that my neighbor had called him and said that my front door was not closed and they had opened and closed it. He still was on his way over.
The last person who had left my apartment was my physical therapist Carmen and she did not lock the door. This is not the first time this has happened with Carmen. She’s always in such a hurry and her mind going is going nonstop. She cannot even pause for ten seconds to make sure that she has locked my door knowing that I am here all alone.
In September, 2014 I had a bad fall and had to have 24 hour a day care giving. I have been bedridden for 25 years and I have to pay people to take care of me. Normally I can get along on my own at night, but after this accident I had to have round the clock care. I hired a young woman to stay with me at night and she seemed intelligent and nice. Considering the situation I wasn’t thinking clearly because I was concerned about being able to walk again, because I could not walk at all after this fall. She came with good references. Within two weeks she showed her true self because she would come back after being off for one day with the smell of alcohol heavy on her and she acted like a completely different person. Totally hostile. I knew she was doing cocaine.
Rene did his best to talk to her about her behavior and get her to do the job correctly. She did okay for another three weeks and then she became totally out of control. I had to let her go even though I still needed somebody here at nights I did not have a choice.
From the moment she was let go suddenly I started having vandalism every night on my property outside of my apartment. I have an air conditioner compressor inside of a cage, Propane tanks inside of a cage, and batteries, also inside of a cage, that run a back up emergency energy supply in case of no power. The high tensile strength locks were being broken and having to be replaced. The vandals attempted to cut the air conditioner hoses on so many occasions that we had to place the hoses inside of a channel. The cables on the batteries were being cut. The screens on my windows were cut. This has been going on ever since September and there has been over 90 attempted vandalisms.
Monday morning Rene told me that a lock on my front door was damaged and the bolts were not closing correctly. He had to buy a whole new locking mechanism on Monday. I thought it was just old age because I have lived here for ten years.
When he arrived last night he talked to the neighbor who said their kids had accidentally hit against my door when they were playing and it opened. Rene then explained something I didn’t understand. The reason he had to change the lock on Monday was because someone had tried to break the lock using a screwdriver.
There is no question who is behind this – the former caregiver. She hangs out with gang bangers. She’s having them come and do this vandalism knowing that it’s costing me money. Rene believes that she made duplicates of my keys and they had tried to open the front door with one of the keys. They don’t know that I changed the locks immediately after she was fired. The police have been contacted, and unless they catch them in the act there’s nothing they can do. They patrol the area, but they cannot be here every moment.
All of this is costing me a great deal of money and I am not generating that much in sales. It also is preying upon my nerves because I realize my vulnerable situation more than anyone, considering I can only walk a few steps with the help of my walker.
I have been content in this apartment for the last ten years. Sure there will always be problems in life, but not this constant bombardment of problems. Every day it seems like there’s something new and now they’re trying to get into the apartment and not just to damage outside. Even if they can’t get into my room there’s a lot of damage they could do inside.
It is not often that I write about my life because it is hard for most people to understand having been bedridden and surviving without family. This time I just felt I had to write about something I’m encountering daily.

So Funny and True!
With a lonely Valentine’s Day on the horizon and another blizzard in the weekend forecast, I knew I needed to take extreme measures tonight to keep me from falling back into my funk.
Since I am both wild and crazy, I decided to go grocery shopping. On a Thursday night! I mean, who does that, am I right?
I brought the camera with me so that you cold join me on my Thursday Night Grocery Party. And to add to the sense of adventure, I told myself I had to take all the photos without getting caught.

New Year’s Blessings,
The burning bowl ceremony is a fire ceremony that helps us to release old, unwanted conditions or events in our lives. Let go of the old that no longer serves to make way for the new. It clears the way for new beginnings. It is a wonderful way of letting go. This ceremony can be done at any time: Sometimes we need a powerful outlet to let the old go so you can make room for the new in your life. American Indians always used smoke as a symbol of their thoughts and prayers going up to the Great Spirit.
Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything – anger, anxiety, or possessions – we cannot be free.
It is best to do a meditation or quiet your mind prior to writing out what you want to release. Write what you no longer want in your life and what you need to let go of on a piece of paper.
Grab a pot, use a fireplace or something safe to burn paper in and your written releases. As you watch the paper burn visualize the smoke going up into spirit and being released from you. You can do a simple prayer as you watch the smoke.
Once it has been burnt, blow, fling, or pour the ashes in a lake, stream or into the wind off and away from your property as you say be gone and let it go from your thoughts.
Burning Bowl unity ceremony – Can be performed prior to the marriage ceremony. Releasing the past allows the couple to begin clean with no old residue hanging over the marriage.
After the burning ceremony create a list of what you want to experience in your life and place the list in safe keeping for a year then take it out and read it to see what has manifested. You can then burn the old list and create a new one.
Don’t carry old hurts with you. It doesn’t matter what has happened, your life isn’t flawed and you can start fresh. Just make that decision.
I recommend doing a burning bowl ceremony on a periodical basis and make it a part of your life.
I give more details on this ceremony in the video. Land how to do this sacred ceremony yourself. Take a few moments and watch this video and share it with those that you love.
Do you ever get the feeling that what you have experienced spiritually in your past no longer serves you and don’t feel a “fit” with other religions or beliefs? Perhaps you are someone who feels that they must strike out on their own and “leave home” so to speak.
This is a time of great spiritual change as the worlds of the spirit and this material one are co-mingling. As you already “Feel” one is layered on top of the other. You are awakening to a very strong pull of the spirit that is calling to you. This pull is what some call God, The Creator, Great Spirit, Source Energy, The Universe, and (I feel more aptly) The Light. It is a surge of spiritual power that is more solid than stone or the ground under your feet. There is no need to feel fearful. If you weren’t ready for this next step you wouldn’t have been called. It is just that simple. It is what led Buddha to renounce his life of luxury as a prince; called Christ into the wilderness and has reached out to many inspired teachers and people throughout history. It calls you to the oneness of all and to leave your old ways of fearful “Us vs Them” thinking behind you. You are being called to the remembering of who and what you are. You are being called into the Light. You are being called into a life of service to Life and Love.
Here is a short questionnaire that should help you find out if this is something that is calling out to you in your life.
AM I A LIGHT WORKER?
Answer the Questions Below
1) Do you feel a sense of time urgency within you?
2) Do you feel draw to help humanity?
3) Do you feel draw to spirituality?
4) Do you get a persistent ringing sound in your ear?
5) Have you been told by others that you are too sensitive?
6) Do you feel different from others?
7) Do you believe that spiritual methods can heal any situation?
8) Do you know that you are here for a higher purpose?
If you answered yes to these questions and resonate with the definitions of a Light Worker given, the chance is that you are a light worker, however, only you can truly answer this question for yourself. You may also have tried to follow your families’ religion devoutly, but feel that you have not felt like you are getting the right answers or maybe you have just “outgrown” it and feel the need to search on your own. If you feel this need and you receive the prompts, you are on your new path. You have reached a point on your journey where you are ready for a spiritual upgrade.
Know that what you are experiencing is real. Do not worry about what anyone else thinks about regarding your experience. All you have to remember is that to those of us who receive this feeling no explanation is necessary. To the others who don’t know no explanation will suffice. You are embarking on a journey that will lead you to many new and wonderful experiences.
There are many light workers on the planet at this moment in time; a lot of us seem to experience an extraordinary amount of obstacles, challenges and health issues in our lives. I think the reason for this is so that we can learn compassion and empathy through our own trials and be more understanding to the trials of others. It is a light workers task to help other people on their journey in life and that is why they need so much experience of life.
You are light-workers, your time has come and your job now is to stand in the light, to let your light shine and to allow those who would take up fear to gather around your light and feel peace and hope.
