Year Two Without Isis

happy isis

Isis

“Time may change me, but I can’t change time.”  David Bowie

April 29, 2017 marks 2 years since Isis crossed the rainbow bridge.  We had fifteen remarkable years together.

In all my years there was no animal that crossed my path as remarkable as Isis.  From the first day she came home she had wisdom that far exceeded anything I had ever seen.  She understood everything immediately.  She never had to be taught anything.  Not once did she ever do anything disruptive or cause any problems.

She was my first cat and a Rescue Kitty about five months old, and when she came into my life. She had big beautiful green eyes, black silky hair, and walked with great dignity.  I felt there was only one name that suited her and that was after the Egyptian Goddess Isis.

She understood how to move around me, as I am bedridden and the slightest little thing can cause incredible pain.  She would flatten her body out to where she was no more than 1 inch high and lay under my arm.  She knew that if I my arm was elevated it would cause pain.  She was a true shape shifter.

She would always stand by the chair I was sitting on and ask permission before she came over. She did the same thing when she jumped on the bed she would never come near me unless I told her it was all right. She had incredible manners.

Her psychic abilities were amazing.  I always trusted her instincts because they were accurate.  She was able to speak to me telepathically in English.  There is no need to try to figure out what she wanted to relay because of her incredible psychic abilities, it was easy to understand.  I always felt she was a greater mystic then I will ever be.

She loved Jimi Hendrix.  In our time together we lived in many different homes, but one of the first homes we were in together had a remarkable built in entertainment center with speakers five feet high.  I noticed that whenever I put on a Jimi Hendrix CD she would stand in front of the speakers and not move.  Eventually I knew all I had to say was, “Isis, It’s Hendrix” and she would come running from wherever she was and stand in front of the speakers.

Isis had a deep distrust of all people.  I do not know what her life was like before she came to live with me, but it obviously taught her a lot about people.  I was fortunate to be the only person she trusted.  I had to earn that trust with her. When she first came to live with me she would lie on my physical therapy table and gently swat at anyone who went by. Most would freak out and scream.  I know she was inwardly laughing  at that. When she would do it with me I would not move and I would put my hand close to her and she would bite at it and I would say, “Come on, bite harder.” She realized I wasn’t going to be intimidated, so she knew I was trustworthy.

Over time she got to where she would not come out at all if anyone came into the home where we were living. She preferred to stay in the closet until she knew it was safe to come out. I do not have many pictures of her because no one ever saw her but me and I’m not able to move around that well to take pictures, but I treasure the few that I have.

Isis and Tigre

When I brought Tigre, my second Rescue Kitty, into our home Isis immediately took over as her mother and always protected her. They would both sleep together in the closet when ever people were around. Especially my caregivers. Tigre has had a lot of health problems and would have to be medicated frequently.  When Rene, the main person in my life, would try to get her out of the closet Isis would attack and she was extremely serious.

She never had a sick day in her life. I was always happy about that because I knew her fear of people would make it a horrible experience for her to go to the vet.  During the last year of her life I kept noticing and commenting on how thin she was getting.  She never expressed any signs of illness in any way.  Two months before she passed I knew she was sick and I knew it was related to her kidneys. Not once did she ever cry or act like she was in any sort of pain. She was always concerned about me and never wanted me to worry.  My instincts told me there was something wrong.  I had her see one vet and was not pleased with his so-called treatment and diagnosis.  I knew she needed to see the specialist that treated Tigre.

The specialist found that one kidney had such a large stone that it was not functioning.  He called to tell me this.  I kept thinking about her having to have treatments and I knew that it would be miserable for her.  The next day he called and said she had taken a sudden turn for the worst.  He could not understand why she went down so quickly.  It did not surprise me.  He gave me time to prepare myself and I was able to astral project myself to her.  Physically I was on his cell phone talking to her the whole time while he gave her the injection to pass.

I saw her cross over and she stood at the rainbow bridge.  On the other side stood my father holding my little dog Julia, who he always loved.  He motioned for Isis to come over and she crossed the bridge and jumped up into his other arm.  They stood looking at me and I know that they will be there waiting for me when my time comes.

Out of personal curiosity the doctor did an autopsy on her and found that she had cancer of the liver.  She was a very sick little girl and never let on.  The doctor made a special box for her and buried her in his backyard.

Isis Grave33

I talk to her every day and I have seen her several times since she passed.  Last week I saw her jump up on the bed on her special cushion.  I have felt her go under my arm and lay underneath me.  I treasure those moments that she comes around.  I know she will always be a part of my life.

There will never be another animal in my life that will equal Isis. I knew she was special from the moment I saw her.  I know that we will be together once again when I meet her at the end of the rainbow bridge.

How to Find Happiness Medicine

13033fe224198a3be78ebb4987bf9c28

Would you like to wake up every morning feeling happier, fully alive, and more connected to life than you already are?

Of course you would. We all want to be happier. In fact, Aristotle said that “happiness is the goal of all goals—the be all and end all of life.”

Unfortunately, we don’t always feel happy. But we can change and here is how!

Once a man from a tribal culture had become troubled and unhappy. The villagers had taken him to the local shaman (medicine man). After the suffering man poured out his troubles to the wise spiritual leader, the shaman sat quietly for a moment. Then, instead of giving him advice or prescribing an herbal remedy, the shaman simply asked him four questions:

  1. When did you stop singing?
  2. When did you stop dancing?
  3. When did you stop being enchanted by story?
  4. When did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?

Across all cultures, the healers and medicine people know that if someone is unhappy, they are inevitably missing one or more of these four crucial ingredients for happiness.

Without song, movement, story-telling and silence, we begin to experience a loss of soul or spirit.

Let’s take a closer look at each of these:

  1. Singing: Singing can be as simple as humming or chanting or it can be a full blown aria in the shower. You don’t have to have a great voice or be on key—just singing opens the heart. Research shows that the sound of your own voice singing, chanting or humming strengthens your immune system. Even though we often think of singing as an expression of being happy, it can actually help you recover your inner peace and well-being if you’ve lost your joy.
  2. Dancing/Moving Your Body: Every culture throughout history has had some form of movement in dance, sport, and exercise. Moving your body creates endorphins, the feel-good hormone. Movement and dance bring you back into your body and help you trust your body’s deep wisdom.
  3. Storytelling/Sharing with Others: Storytelling is one of the oldest healing tools igniting our heart and imagination and re-enchanting the world. Make sure to share your story with others—not the victim version, but the empowered one.
  4. Silence: While silence is something that’s hard to come by in our culture, it is one of the most important allies you have in raising your happiness level. Being silent, even for 10 or 15 minutes a day, allows you to touch the great mystery of life and remember who you are.

So, the next time you find yourself a little down or in a funk, remember the shaman’s four questions. Then add a bit of singing, dancing, story-telling, and silence into your day. I guarantee you will find this powerful medicine working in your life.

One of The Ways a Deceased Loved One Communicates

Recently I had a good example of my parents communicating to me from the spirit world.  A friend sent me an Easter card and in it they had the video of the song “Here Comes Peter Cottontail.” I had forgotten about this song long ago and how my parents would play that song for me when I was a little girl at Easter. The moment it started playing I started crying because of the memories that it brought back of a time when life was safe, secure, and filled with love.

It is their way of saying hello when I really needed it.  Thank you Mama and Dad.  You knew I was feeling alone and it was your way of letting me know I was still loved. You were the best parents anyone could ever have. I look forward to the day that we are reunited once again.

So many people write to me and want to know how to communicate with a deceased loved one. The way the departed communicate is quite different than what we are use to in this third dimension. So if you start looking at subtle messages, such as the one I received you might start seeing that you are being contacted by your loved one.

Many blessings,

Plant a Lollipop Garden for Easter

Plant jelly beans

Create magic and enjoy the wonder of a child’s imagination as they watch the Jelly Beans grow into their own special Lollipop Garden.

The night before Easter, have your children plant their Jelly Beans. Have fun as your child carefully digs little holes and “plant” a jelly bean in each hole. Let them rest overnight.  Once they are asleep, carefully place a lollipop where each bean had been planted and in the morning, your children/grandchildren will have an amazing surprise.

Your children/grandchildren will delight when they see what grew overnight – a Lollipop Garden. This makes a fun twist on the traditional Egg Hunt as well.

If you have an incredibly perceptive child, make sure you replace the same color sucker with the same color jelly bean that your child planted.

Get your little ones really excited about what can happen when we all choose and share our joy, and the impact it can have in the lives of others. Use this as a teaching tool for the character quality, you can ask your kids questions as you are planting the jelly beans, and use statements such as, “What do you think happens when we plant seeds of loving kindness every day?” Or “Why is it so important to plant seeds of joy into other people’s lives?”

Not only will you children or grandchildren have fun, it will help them think about others who may not be as fortunate and what their needs may be. This helps instill what the meaning of Easter is about.

Easter blessings,

Have a Blessed Holy Week

Palm gif

Today is the start of Holy Week and Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus procession into Jerusalem where people threw down palm fronds to celebrate his entry into the holy city. Many religions process around their churches waving palm fronds and crosses as a symbol of this triumphal event.

No matter what your belief may be this is a spiritual time and a reawakening of our true spiritual self.

“The Christ, He who was in the ancient of days, is the flame of God that dwells in the spirit of man. He is the breath of life that visits us, and takes unto Himself a body like our bodies.

He is the will of the Lord.

He is the first Word, which would speak with our voice and live in our ear that we may heed and understand.

And the word of the Lord our God builded a house of flesh and bones, and was man like unto you and myself.

For we could not hear the song of the bodiless wind nor see our greater self walking in the mist.

Many times the Christ has come to the world, and He has walked many lands. And always he has been deemed a stranger and a madman.” ~Kahlil Gibran in Jesus The Son of Man

Take time out of your busy lives and reflect on the spiritual blessings that are being poured out at this time. No matter what you may be going through the blessings are still coming and it is up to us to recognize the miracle of each day.

Too much political correctness has made it unfashionable to have faith and talk about it openly.  I will choose to continue to have faith because without it I would have nothing.

I believe without a doubt in the Divine Creator and know that every day we need to pray just like we take a shower, eat, and sleep. In all things give thanks and be prayerful.

May you be blessed now and always,
Cherokee Billie
