Father in Law Day honors that loving, funny, and cheerful father in law. Okay, so perhaps sometimes he is a little grumpy and intimidating. Regardless of his personality and charms, this day is dedicated to your spouse’s Dad. And, he certainly deserves a little recognition. Good ways to celebrate this day are to send him a card, spend a little time with him, or give him his favorite snack. Happy Father in Law Day!
I’ve learned that
No matter what has happened or hasn’t happened to you in your life
No matter how heartbreaking
No matter what you lost
No matter who deceived you
No matter what dreams were broken
No matter the what wrong decisions you made, what opportunities you passed up, what regrets you may have
No matter how devastating the circumstances
No matter how long you have suffered
No matter how old you are
Today is the beginning
Today is the day to finally change it all
Life has only one direction
Who you are is worth it all
So what are you going to do with today?
If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won’t survive the week.
If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.
If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.
If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare,
especially in the United States.
If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.
If you can hold someone’s hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God’s healing touch.
If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.
You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.
If you are feeling blessed, repay the blessings bestowed unto you and do something for others.
A blessing cannot be kept. If it stops with you, then the blessing will disappear.
The blessing will only keep working if it is continuously passed around. If you are a recipient of a blessing, keep the blessings working by being the source of blessing to other people.
Let’s all begin with today,
by making amends,
to whom ever it may be,
whether it may be family or friends.
I ask that all of the ugliness,
be left behind and alone.
Without darkness, and moisture,
ugliness, as with fungus, cannot be grown.
Out of the darkness,
it takes just one sparkle of light,
and soon this unwanted anger,
will soon be out of sight.
Both kindness, and compassion,
I’d rather seen grown,
and along with all these emotions,
only love will be sewn.
We are all born, of
the human family.
So, then none of us here,
can ever be perfect you see.
I, among some others,
have made our own mistakes.
Understanding for others,
is what forgiveness, and new beginnings takes.
Until we all can look into,
the mirror and see perfection,
please, put a stop to this ugliness and hurt,
and lets build a more loving, and strong connection…………..
I pray this message is heard from within the hearts needing this and that we all find our path, more loving and compassionate towards all in creation, and we all find the strength to make the changes needed to walk in a sacred manner. With much respect and love to each one of you, Cherokee Billie
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Live and learn from those that know. In order to do this one must open one’s mind’s eye and one’s mind to truly see what is coming and hopefully do what is right for all not just one…
Tuesday June 29, 2010 I will be hosting my new radio program called “The Sacred Path.” The program will start at 7:00 PM EST and it lasts for 30 minutes.
My topic is going to be Life After Death! Death is a universal experience. No one can hope to escape it. It is only a matter of time till it comes to each one of us and those we love. Most death beds are peaceful when the time comes and few go out struggling. What, then, is it we fear in death that it should be for us a thing of grief and dread?
Firstly, we fear the unknown. To quote Shakespeare, “For in that sleep of death what dreams may come-When we have shuffled off this mortal coil?”
Secondly, we dread the separation from those we love.
These are the things that make death terrible. How differently should we set out to cross the Threshold were our minds at rest on these two points? What I will talk about will help you not have such fear.
To listen to the program live or in archive go to the following link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/cherokee-billie
This is a call in show and you can call and ask any questions you have on your mind. The telephone number is (347) 994-2531.
Please listen to the archive as it is now available.
You are constantly in the process of becoming. You are constantly in the process of growing, no matter what your age or what you’ve already been through. At the end of this day you will not be quite the same person you were when you woke up. You will have learned new things, lived through new experiences, known some new accomplishments and some disappointments.
Today is your opportunity to mold yourself and to direct your life. The person you are tomorrow will depend on how you live each moment of today. It’s a serious responsibility and a great opportunity.
The moments of this day may seem quite ordinary as you go through them. Yet every day is important, every moment is special and vital. They are your opportunities to live, to love, to grow, to learn, to accomplish, to become, to fulfill.
Rather than just looking at this day as another one to endure, see in it the wondrous amount of living with which it can be filled. Give today your best, and its golden treasures will be yours.

Today will proceed right along, no matter what you do. You can’t stop it, and you can’t hold on to it. What you can do, is use it for all it’s worth.
You can choose to put forth the absolute minimum effort necessary to make it through this day, and you will indeed make it through the day. Trouble is, tomorrow you’ll end up right back where you started, with the need to make it through another day.
Instead, use today for all it’s worth. Make the effort to make some real progress. You know what needs to be done. You know what you want to accomplish. Now is the time to do it.
Instead of “making it through” focus on “making it happen.” Think of one little thing you can do today, that will improve all your tomorrows, and then do it. Surely you have the time and energy for one little improvement. Think of the difference it will make.
When you’re already moving sideways, it doesn’t take that much more effort to change your direction to forward. Today is here right now. Use it!
