May is Fibromyalgia Awareness Month

Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.

May 12 is the designated Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. Throughout the month of May please share awareness about Fibromyalgia.

Several years ago Fibromyalgia was a disability categorized as “psychological”. Now it is recognized as a very real physical condition that affects every aspect of a person’s life.

It’s hard to understand how it feels to be told you are mentally having a problem when your body will not perform what you are asking it to do. How can that possibly be mental? Patients were, in effect, being told it was “all in your head.” I went through this with people I knew once I became unable to function because of Fibromyalgia. Everyone wants to tell you that you just need to get up and do something and you will feel better. They don’t understand you barely have the strength to make it to the bathroom and back. It is often hard to get emotional support from your family and friends.

Fortunately, the medical field has produced enough research to re-classify it as a true physical disability that is often paired with studies and treatments for arthritis and rheumatism. No longer can people say that it is in your head.

Here is a brief list of common symptoms of this disease:

  • Chronic pain throughout the body
  • Burning, numbness and tingling
  • Tenderness when pressure is placed on or around the neck, elbows, hips, thighs and knees.
  • Sleep disorders
  • Chronic fatigue or exhaustion
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Facial Pain
  • Jaw Pain (TMJ)
  • Memory Loss
  • Irritable Bowel
  • Tension or Migraine Headaches
  • High sensitivity to foods and medications (allergic type reaction).
  • Minimal tolerance to heat and cold
  • High sensitivity to bright lights and sounds
  • Hair Loss

Because symptoms develop gradually, this disease is often misdiagnosed. Based on the American College of Rheumatology a person is diagnosed with Fibromyalgia when he or she suffers pain throughout the body for at least three months and has 11 out of 18 tender points presen

Fibromyalgia basically means pain in the muscles, tendons and ligaments. It affects mostly women and up to 4% of the general population. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS

People with FMS have the additional stress and frustration in their lives of trying to explain (all the time) why today they can do almost anything and the next day they can barely get out of bed. Depression is a frequent side-effect of FMS and who can question it? Living with a body-wide toothache-like pain constantly is something only fellow sufferers can truly understand.

Niagara Falls will be PURPLE from 10:15 to 10:30 PM EST May 12th for Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. You can watch this event live by Clicking Here

It is estimated that Fibromyalgia

My prayers go out to everyone who is affected by this condition as I understand it well having lived with it for over 42 years. Please spread the word and let the world know about Fibromyalgia.

Remember millions of people worldwide suffer from Fibromyalgia. They lose their independence, their lives, and often their family. Raise your awareness and support those with invisible illnesses.

One Year Anniversary of My Fall.

Thank you for being with me this past year!

Today marks one year since my cat, Tigre, ran in front of me and I fell onto the floor.  I can never forget that moment.  The damage it did was not only to my feet, but has had a ripple effect throughout my whole body.  I was already weak and debilitated due to being bedridden for 25 years due to an accident to my hips as well as having Sympathetic Reflex Dystrophy, Fibromyalgia among the multitude of ailments that I have.  It is difficult for many people to understand what this has done to my body.

I have to say that this last year has been the worst year of my life, not only experiencing new levels of being disabled, but the loss of my precious Isis. I do not feel sorry for myself, because I realize that life is not always a bed of roses.

The bright spot out of this whole year has been those of you who have kept me going financially as well as mentally with your love and support.  I am grateful to every one of you who has stood by me this past year.

It is not easy exposing my whole life to the world, but it was necessary in order to survive.  You never know what you might have to go through to survive.  So many people that have contacted me and are regular contributors have been homeless or seriously ill and understand what it feels like.

There are good people in the world who do care and I have been blessed many times over by their kindness.  I have met angels wearing the disguise of ordinary people living ordinary lives.

Whatever you are going through know that it doesn’t hurt to reach out and let people know how you are suffering because there may be someone out there who can help you. Sure there will be detractors, but that’s where you need to be strong inside of your spirit and fight with everything you have got to survive.  That’s what I have been doing and if I can do it so can someone else.

Thank you to everyone who cares.

A Message for Spiritual Workers with Illnesses

A Message for Spiritual Workers with Illnesses. Click Picture To Read Article

Recently I posted a message about my spirit guides.  From that I have received many messages from other spiritual workers who expressed how they’re going through health issues, yet, they are still able to receive messages from their spirit guides.

I believe that the world has a distorted view of people who are sick or chronically ill.  The world perceives chronically ill people as weak minded and even feeble.  That is not the case for so many.  It has been proven in medical studies that people who suffer from many hidden illnesses such as Fibromyalgia are Type A Personalities.  Type A means people who are extremely driven and self motivated.

For myself I have been self motivated throughout my life.  My parents were hard workers and my father was a successful small business entrepreneur.  I got my strong work ethic from them.  My father taught me lessons the hard way.  When I was eighteen years old he wanted me to start doing outside sales for his aerospace business.  I asked him how to do it because I had no clue and he said figure it out yourself.  So I proceeded to do that, and I brought him in large contracts from the military and private businesses.  That was how I became self motivated.  I enjoyed figuring things out myself.

I began to study metaphysics 34 years ago and always had psychic gifts.  I did not understand what I had until I started learning from metaphysics and developing my gifts.  Eventually I began working as a professional psychic and spiritual advisor.  My business grew steadily over the years even though I was bedridden due to an accident and had many chronic conditions such as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, Fibromyalgia, Crohn’s Disease, Cystitis, and many others.

Over the past few years the economy has taken a big nose dive and only large companies seem to be profiting.  More small businesses are closing now than ever in history.  The small business person is being pushed out and that’s not good for the world.

All of this has affected my small business.  I’ve always kept my prices extremely low for my readings, because I did not feel comfortable charging large sums because I understand how hard it is for so many people financially and I felt that I would serve them best, when they need help, by keeping my pricing low.

Now large corporate owned psychic businesses put out great advertising and there’s no way a small entrepreneur can compete with that sort of advertising dollar.  It has brought my business to an almost complete standstill.  If it was not for old clients I would have no business.  I work all the time on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google Plus 1, etc. with minimal results in terms of sales.  I have a large following and I know that people depend upon the messages that I deliver, but it has not translated into large sales.

Because of this impact and the will to survive I turned to asking for donations.  This has been the most humiliating thing I have ever done.  Believe me I am not happy about it, but if it was not for the donations I have received I would not be here now still delivering messages.  I much more prefer making money through my work.

If I was not bedridden I would get up and do any type of work available be it cleaning houses or lawn mowing.  Unfortunately that is not possible as I have to pay people to take care of me.

My point in telling my story is that I do have spiritual gifts that I have used to help people for many years and having a chronic illness does not diminish this gift.  I find that I live more in the spirit world than I do in this third dimensional world.  I believe that most people who are spiritually gifted and suffer from physical problems tend to be more in spirit, as this is what sustains them.  So if you encounter a spiritual person who has chronic illnesses do not think that they cannot help you.  Their gifts come from a higher source.

I believe that what I have gone through has been for my spiritual growth.  I never would have known who I really was If everything would have gone smoothly in my life.  The challenges that I face would flatten most people and I keep going.  That is my message to all of you spiritual workers who like me suffer from chronic illness.  Do not feel you are not helping others because you are – far more than you know.  Keep going my friends.

Many blessings,
Cherokee Billie

Calling On All Earth Angels!

Calling On All Earth Angels!
This is the most difficult post I have ever made. To go public with my problems is something that is not easy for me to do. Because I have been helping others as a Spiritual Advisor for many years I do not like to burden others with my problems, but I have reached a point in my life where I have to call upon all Earth Angels.

I am a 62 year old single woman who has been crippled for 23 years due to an accident to my hips. I also have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, Neural Muscular Degeneration, Fibromyalgia, and Crohn’s Disease to name a few of my medical conditions. I have no muscle strength and it takes all of my strength to do the most simple of things. Due to the rate of my deterioration I don’t have much time left and I want to have as much quality of life as possible before I pass. All of my family is deceased and I have nowhere to turn.

I have to pay people to come in and take care of me daily. A week ago I fell when no one was here and pulled tendons in both my feet and now I can not walk. I am not able to use an electric wheelchair because my apartment is too small. I do not have the strength to push a manual wheelchair. I have to pay for 24 hour a day care and I do not have the money to pay for this. I need physical therapy daily to be able to get back to walking the few steps I could walk before. I receive disability, but it’s not enough to cover the cost of care givers and all of the changes I’ve had to make in my apartment to accommodate my new situation.

With your help I could remain in my apartment and be taken care of. So please help an old woman have a bit of comfort and remove the worry and stress from her life. I have been a strong independent woman for all of my life and I want to remain independent as much as possible until my time to pass comes.

I will continue posting positive inspirational messages and if anyone would like help using my spiritual services I can still work. It is unfortunate that this year my business is so slow that it is practically dead. I’m very active in social media and people love what I post and what I say and I’m grateful for that. The problem is social media does not translate into business.

I have set up a page on GoFundMe to help raise donations for me. Click here to view the GoFundMe page.

If you cannot help with a donation would you please share my GoFundMe page to your friends, Facebook, Twitter, organizations, and churches?

Thank you for reading this and I appreciate your help.

May you always be blessed!

Fibromyalgia Awareness Day – May 12, 2013

Muscular pain, tingling, burning, and numbness are common symptoms of a repetitive strain injury. However, these symptoms are also common in a condition called Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia basically means pain in the muscles, tendons and ligaments. It affects mostly women and up to 4% of the general population.

You Know Who Your Friends Are When You Are Down For the Count!

Today I write to you about a topic that I rarely write about, me. First, I want to tell you how much I appreciate all of you who follow me.

For the past six weeks I have had to receive medications intravenously daily for six hours a day because my body will not absorb them well enough otherwise. These were ordered to be done in my home because I am unable to be transported to the hospital. You see, I have been bedridden for the past 22 years from an accident and having Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s disease and a long list of other problems. My family has all passed and it is up to me to make sure that I am taking care of. I have to pay caregivers to take care of me daily. The sickness that I am in the midst of now is compounded by these health challenges that I face daily. I do not know how long it’s going to take for me to recover. I have been unable to work because I lost my voice in this illness and have exhausted any money that I had coming in because I can’t work.

I Want To Give A Shout Out Of Thanks To All Of My Friends And Followers From Facebook Who Sent Me Prayers And Beautiful Messages Supporting Me During This Health Crisis.

My friend of twenty years Emily has stepped forward and offered to do my psychic readings for me. Now This Is What A True Friend Is! Emily has run her own successful psychic business for over 25 years. Emily is being very gracious in sacrificing her time and doing readings for my clients and not accepting any money from me for her help.

Emily normally charges $3.95 per minute for psychic readings, but to help me she is doing the readings at my rate of $1.85 per minute. She is doing this for free for me to keep my business going and allow me to recover.

Emily is very good at getting into the head and heart of the people you deal with and telling you what’s there, in detail, so you will feel where they are coming from and what they are doing next, and why. She analyzes the situation in minute detail, tells you why he acts the way he does and what works to make it happen for the best. Click Here to Read More about Emily

If you do not feel you need a psychic reading but would like to support my spiritual ministry you can submit a donation. As most of you know I work very hard all the time helping others and donate as much time as I can doing things for others without charge. You can make a donation on my website, Just look for the PayPal Donate button on the left side of my website.

I will continue doing readings as my health permits. I know that I will have to rest for quite some time before I can go back working as hard as I’ve been over the past year. If I survive, you are still all mine! Emily is not keeping you! I love and appreciate each one of you and want to continue doing what I’ve been doing for years, inspiring people, and helping them to change their lives.

Thank you for reading my post.

Many blessings,
Cherokee Billie
