Happy Mother’s Day 2015

mothers-day-cbWishing ALL the beautiful.. Hardworking.. Dedicated.. Sexy.. Generous and Loving moms (and grandmas) living and in spirit a fabulous Mother’s Day!  Also, to would be mothers who are enjoying the life that grows within them-celebrate!  For all of the mothers of fur, feathered, fin, and reptile babies’ thank you for taking care of these wonderful creatures.

My mother is in spirit and I look forward to the time that we’re reunited. Thank you for everything you gave me Mama.

I am grateful for my fur babies, Isis and Tigre. Isis passed into spirit last week and now there is a large hole in my heart. Tigre is still with me for now. I never had children, but I’ve had many wonderful animal babies.

I was thinking of the ladies that never had children and have wanted to. There is a wonderful chapter in the Bible that speaks about women who never had children and how they will have more children because of their spiritual work. This has always been very comforting to me as I never had children.

Isaiah 54:1 “Sing, O barren, you that did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you that did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, said the Lord.

In my life I have found this passage to be very true. I believe that some of us are destined to be spiritual Mothers.  Spiritual mothers have more children than any one woman can have by birth.

Never feel that you are alone, remember that so many people out there need what you have to offer. Never underestimate you. Use your gifts and you’ll be amazed at how many spiritual children you will have.

For all of You Fabulous Mothers may your day be blessed with love, beauty, and compassion. Never forget how special you are!

“All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.” – Abraham Lincoln

Remember Love Has Free Will!

Remember Love Has Free Will!
by Cherokee Billie

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I thought I would share with you a teaching about love. Love cannot be confined or put into one category.

“Think not that you can direct the course of Love, for Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course” – Khalil Gibran

As a spiritual advisor in any given day I have clients call and ask, “I love this man or woman so much and I’ve never felt this way about anybody before. We have such incredible chemistry together. I don’t understand why they don’t love me like I love them. What am I doing wrong?”

The person is not doing anything wrong, it is just simply that free will is involved and if the other person does not have the same feelings, there is nothing anyone can do to make them love the other person. There is no magic spell that can cause someone to love you. If you think about it would you really want someone to love you because of a magical spell? No, you would want them to love you for you.

The more needy you feel about having someone love you, the less likely they are going to love you, because your need pushes them away. Playing the victim does not attract love.

As difficult as it may be it is important to stay detached emotionally in order to have a clear mind and to show the strong side of yourself. Have you ever had a nagging child pestering you for something over and over until you finally give in and give it to them because you cannot stand to hear them another moment? That is what often happens in relationships. The other person may not be in love, but they will say or do anything just to satisfy the other person and stop the pestering. Many times this will backfire as the needy person never gets enough.

If you have fallen in love with someone it is your free will at work allowing you to choose love. Have you ever been pursued by someone that you knew you could not love? Did the person keep calling you, texting you, or sending e-mails frequently? It started to get annoying after a while. You had the free will not to love that person. It is important to remember that free will is one of the main players in romantic love.

The Creator has given us the gift of free will and we are not puppets that can be controlled. Free will can make life difficult sometimes because we do want to control others and we have to face the fact that the Divine Creator gave each one of us free will.
You have to be found worthy of love. By this I mean you have to have self love, confidence, compassion, and kindness. These are the attributes that attract love. Fill your heart and soul with these attributes and you will find love coming to you of its own free will.

Women You Are Precious!

Women You Are Precious!
Women have strengths that amaze men..
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in..

They stand up to injustice.

They don’t take “no” for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say
and everything to give..

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Women remember that you are more precious then silver and gold! Never let anyone or anything devalue Your Self Worth!

Live a life of Compassion

Compassion
You are goodness and mercy and compassion and understanding. You are peace and joy and light. You are forgiveness and patience, strength and courage, a helper in time of need, a comforter in time of sorrow, a healer in time of injury, a teacher in times of confusion. You are the deepest wisdom and the highest truth; the greatest peace and the grandest love. You are these things. And in moments of your life you have known yourself as these things. Choose now to know yourself as these things always. You are far more wonderful than you think.
Many blessings, Cherokee Billie

Merry Christmas 2012!

Merry Christmas 2012!
Christmas isn’t about candy canes, holly, or lights all aglow. It’s about the hearts that we touch and the care that we show. The most important gifts under a tree are love, laughter, and happiness.

In the Spirit of Christmas, this IS the season to: love, give, share, forgive, hope, laugh, hug, and just enjoy our lives! So do what you can to spread the cheer!

What I would like for Christmas is the following: Feed the Hungry, Cure the Sick, Homes for the Homeless, Bring the troops home, Gifts to the Gift-less, and much more. I pray that everyone has more compassion, love, tolerance, peace, friendship, good health, and abundance, now and always. That is what I want for Christmas.

Remembering those that we love who have passed into spirit. May you feel their presence now and always.

Have a wonderful Christmas my friends.

Many blessings,
Cherokee Billie

Look for the Light in Others

When we think of the word light, we normally think of it as being something that turns night into day, a switch on the wall that enables us to see in a dark room, or a shade of color. We usually spell ‘light’ with a lowercase ‘l’ or an uppercase ‘L’ if it is a proper name or at the start of a sentence. But there is another way that the word light is used with a capital ‘L’.

In this instance, Light refers to God, God’s love, God’s grace and compassion and the God Light within all of us. Our God Light shines more brightly in some than in others. When you look for the Light in others, it’s seeing them as your equal, your brother or sister, regardless of race or other factors, and realizing that we all come from the same ‘parents’.

Look for the Light in others and it will change how you see them and how you see yourself. You will have greater empathy and understanding of humanity. You will no longer judge their circumstances and life choices as wrong, but will desire to help them instead. Look for the Light in others and you will better see the Light in yourself.
