Don’t Panic—Its Mercury Retrograde Time

Let Me Explain To You the Basics of Mercury Retrograde

From August 31st to September 23rd, Mercury will retrograde in the sign of Virgo. What this means is it’s time to slow down and take time to go within to gain new perspectives.

Many people panic at the thoughts of Mercury Retrograde, but I feel that it’s just time for change and nothing to panic about.  We should always be introspective and take time to make any type of decisions.  This particular time indicates really being diligent about any actions you take and think about what you need to do next in your life and on your path.

A wonderful event that occurs during this time is on September 16 when a full moon lunar eclipse occurs.  Always take time to plan what you want between this full moon and the next.  There is a lot of positive energy around this and do not let it go to waste.

Many blessings,

Remembering Princess Diana Seventeen Years Later.

Princess Diana July 01, 1961 to August 31, 1997

Princess Diana July 01, 1961 to August 31, 1997

Wow, time goes so quickly and it just seems like yesterday I heard about the death of Princess Diana. Of course it was a big shock at the time because of her enormous popularity worldwide. Any magazine that put her on the cover, when she was alive, always sold more than normal. She was an icon during her life and after. Her legacy has continued and she is still loved deeply by many.

Princess Diana Princess Diana will long be remembered for her kindness, gentleness, beauty, and humanitarianism. Let’s celebrate her life and what she gave to so many.

Here is an amazing and inspiring quote from a beautiful woman and an inspiration to so many…..
”Carry out random acts of kindness with no expectation of reward; safe in the knowledge that one day, someone might do the same for you.” – Princess Diana

This is so true. Whenever you do kindnesses expect nothing in return and that is how the blessings come in to your life.

In 2007, marking the tenth anniversary of her death, her sons, Princes William and Harry, honored their beloved mother with a special concert to be held on what would have been her 46th birthday. The proceeds of the event went to charities supported by Diana and her sons.

Continuing her charitable efforts is the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. Established after her death, the fund provides grants to numerous organizations and supports initiatives to provide care to the sick in Africa, help refugees, and stop the use of land mines.

So here are a few facts on Princess Diana’s effect on the world.
• Diana shook up the British monarchy and speeded its modernization.
• She helped to tear down prejudices about AIDS.
• She raised awareness of eating disorders.
• She promoted opposition to land mines.

These are pretty hefty achievements for a woman of little education who mocked herself for being “thick as a plank.” Add to these a more dubious accomplishment — her skillful manipulation of media images — and it’s clear why, so many years after her death, Diana remains an inescapable presence in British life: mostly, but not always, benign; a restless and seductive ghost. It’s time to peer into the many corners she still haunts.

In her charitable work, Diana set a standard that’s hard to equal. She ignored the prevailing prejudices and fears about AIDS to clasp the hands of sufferers, and embraced leprosy patients in Indonesia. Arbiter remembers a visit to a home for the blind where Diana noticed that an old resident was crying: “She asked what was the matter” and he said, ‘I can’t see you.’ So she took his hand and put it on her face.

We can be thankful that her spirit graced this planet. Her beautiful spirit will always live on. She will always be the Queen of Hearts!

Many blessings,

Once in a Blue Moon August 31, 2012

A Blue Moon will be present for all to see on Friday, August 31, 2012. Don’t miss this one, because you’ll not get another one for almost three years.

The Moon will become a full moon at 9:58 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), or 1358 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on August 31st.

This “second full moon in one month”, or so called the Blue Moon, will not occur again until July 2015. Blue moons exist due to our calendar months being imperfectly synched to the lunar months. It takes 29.5 days for the moon to orbit Earth, during which sky watchers observe all of its phases. All calendar months, aside from February, have 30 or 31 days, resulting in the occasional two full moons within a single month.

But, don’t be disappointed if you don’t actually see a “blue” colored Moon. The term Blue Moon is named so because it is relatively rare (on average just once every 2.7 years). That is, it’s only seen “once in a blue moon.” On average, about 27 Blue Moons occur in any given century. So far, in the twenty-first century, we’ve had five of them.

However, what is rare is a bluish colored Blue Moon. It only occurs when something like a volcanic eruption or a forest fire causes the atmosphere to make the Moon appear to be a little bluish.

Native Americans drew constellations, created star lore, and built structures in alignment with the sky long before Europeans arrived on American shores.

Like other groups, they tracked the motions of the Sun to help them decide when to plant crops, move their camps, or stage sacred rituals.

Their stories contained explanations of the constellations they saw as patterns of bright stars, meteor showers, the Northern Lights, and saw in what we call the Milky Way a pathway to the afterlife.

Some tribes built great circles of stones to help them predict the changing seasons, or ceremonial sites and mounds of earth in alignment with the Sun and stars and to reflect the patterns they saw in the heavens.

In any case, go outside and watch the Moon be Full and be a Blue Moon on Friday. This is a powerful time to say prayers for everyone. Hopefully you’ll have a clear night sky over your locality on Earth.

Neil Armstrong family statement “Next time you walk outside on clear night & see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil & give him a wink.”
