Brings You Clarity With Spiritual Phone Readings, Spiritual Classes, eBooks

This past year Doreen Virtue has announced that she has become a Christian.  This is been a big shock to many of her followers.

Many people are taking it as a real negative and saying that her previous work has no value.  I’ve also heard people say they should get their money back on her cards, books, and certifications.  I can understand them feeling betrayed.

Everyone has a right to follow their path and I’m sure that Doreen is doing what she is being led to do.  I would not take it as a negative rather as advancement in her spiritual work.

  1. Everyone is entitled to follow their path, including changes to that path, so long as their beliefs do not encourage them to hurt anyone else.
    2. Doreen Virtue is no exception.
    3. When someone has been a best-selling author of books and cards etc, it does make it more complicated. People have invested millions into your teachings and will feel abandoned, so there will be a backlash.
    4. People who have invested millions in becoming certified teachers of your module will feel cheated.
    5. I feel that people should not get money back for books and cards as those things are still relevant to them, their paths have just diverged at this point, but the products still have the same value they would have had, if say the person had died.
    6. People who have been certified by her might see it two ways. What they learned is still valid to them, but they might lose clients and be quite badly hit financially. Doreen is a brand name, and that brand may have been diluted, although she still seems to believe in angels.
    7. The cynic in me would say, that is convenient marketing situation. Doreen has always been the absolute best at marketing strategies. She has certainly got herself talked about – hasn’t she? And how many will now buy her new book just to see what this new path is exactly? And can you be a Christian and still believe in divination by angels? On the other hand it may be how she genuinely feels.
    8. I am concerned by the possible ‘cult’ association in all this. We probably all know someone who has been ‘born again’, only to change their minds after a few years. Time, will tell which this is.
    9. Everyone can believe or not, in Jesus. They can believe he was the Jew, as portrayed in the Bible. They can believe he was a Buddhist, or the similar figure that is in almost all religions, or a mystic, not religious at all. He doesn’t mind.
    10. Jesus has always been considered by me, first and foremost as my friend.  He always was and always will be.

I think the most important thing here is to not judge.  As Jesus said, “Judge not, lest you be judged.  For with what judgement you judge the same shall you be judged.”  I myself have been judged by people who do not know me and can understand what she is going through.

I have looked at her current website and she still is connecting with the angels and giving positive messages as she always did.  The only difference is now she has added in Jesus cards and has written books based on Jesus.  It may get a few people excited about Jesus and the Bible.  I do not see anything wrong with that.

Anything that is being sent out into the world that is positive and loving is needed.  Doreen certainly does do that on a regular basis.

“I cannot think that we are useless or God would not have created us. There is one God looking down on us all. We are all the children of one God. The sun, the darkness, the winds are all listening to what we have to say.” Geronimo

I hope this little message of mine helps those that have followed Doreen for many years and have felt let down.

Sending lots of love and light,
Cherokee Billie

I’m glad that you chose to write about this, as I have had mixed feelings as well. I saw something about how she wants to mix new age concepts with Christianity and I think she is doing well in that. One can be close to Jesus and still pull cards. I’m glad that she is showing people that.

    • Thank you so much for your comment. You expressed your thoughts well and it’s good that we stay positive and not judge someone for what they do. You never know what someone has been through unless you have walked in their shoes. Many blessings, Cherokee Billie ❤

  2. I was always under the impression that she was a Christian, but that has never stopped me from listening to what she has to say.

    • Thank you for your comment. I honestly don’t know her work, only seen a few of her angel cards, but I just don’t like people judging someone they do not know. Many blessings, Cherokee Billie

Hello Billie, thank you for you’re message.
New age, spiritual, christian, Doreen, has a good heart, and many people who made that direction, or feel it. For me its oke, why judging ? in the Netherlands i bought books and those lovely angelcards, and they are beautiful. i am Christian, i love new age, spirituel things, it can help so much people, to ease they;re heart soul and minds, i love the good God, not the Judging God.
Blessings, and a wonderful Monday, love and light xxx

    • Well said about the good God and not the judging God. God is love and does not judge us as the religious teachings would have us think. Everyone has free will to choose what path they take and what they follow in this life. I really appreciate your comment. Sending you lots of love and light, Cherokee Billie ❤

Wow Billie! You nailed it! “Judge not lest ye be judged.” I was raised in a strict Christian home and when I turned 18, I left the church as my thoughts and attitudes expanded beyond the confines of the church. I have explored many faiths and belief systems, Doreen is one of my many teachers. I was surprised initially when I read about her baptism into Christianity, but as I listened to her speak and pray, I realized her heart, her intentions, are for the Highest Good of All. I own the cards that have the beautiful teachings of Jesus on them. I love Jesus. I am not a fanatic., but I do believe if we all lived by the teachings of Jesus, the world would be a better place! I personally try to live by the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, Billie, Doreen, Judith, Mom, Grandma, Dad, my heart.

    • I appreciate your thought provoking comment. I just felt I had to support what she is doing because so many people are coming down on her. She has not abandoned her angel connection and will continue using it. People are very quick to judge when they have no real right to do so. I agree with you there are many great teachers and if we would follow all of the divine masters the world would definitely be a better place. Sending you lots of love and light, Cherokee Billie ❤

  5. I certainly am not one to judge. ..Keep spreading Light and Love in all forms as intended by our Beloved Creator / God ✌❤

    • Thank you so much for your comment. It’s easy for people to judge others, what I see Doreen Virtue doing is spreading love and light and I cannot see anything wrong with that. If you read my quotation, in the article, by the Native American Geronimo I think he expressed what God is quite well. Many blessings, Cherokee Billie ❤

Yes, I have quite a few of her Oracle decks and still use them. I’ve always believed we are all ONE meaning we are all God/source energy having many many experiences, so FOR me Doreen is seeking without and not looking into her heart and realising she is Source energy. You can emobdy the Christ Consciousness energy which basically recognises we are all ONE and that’s what the Jesus energy taught, but in spirit that energy is a huge Collective Consciousness, it’s not really one man.

I think Doreen has always had a fondness for the Jesus energy and maybe she wants to explore this more. Some people thinks she is doing it for the money and some people think she has been influenced by her current husband who is a Christian. Mmm, certainly interesting and a good topic for debate 🙂 XOXO

    • I appreciate your comment and your thought provoking statements. I believe that time will tell what is her true story. I did watch a video she made yesterday in which she explained how she had this conversion to Jesus. I know that many people are let down by this, but if you like to work continue using which you’ve been doing. I personally have never read her books or used or cards. First off I don’t like oracle cards or Tarot. I’ve always relied upon a direct answer from source. I just feel that she has a right to choose what direction she goes in and people should not be judgmental. It’s not their path, it is hers. Many blessings, Cherokee Billie

  7. People ask me “What do you want in life?” and my answer is never “I want a big house!” or “I want to get famous!”. My answer always shocks them: “I want to accepted, respected and loved in spite of and because of my flaws.” I wish that for myself and for everyone. I’ve been trying to sell my DV-stuff for years, I lost respect for her professional work at some point (long story). But if her being a Christian makes her happy, then what the heck is people’s problem? I don’t have a problem with her being Christian.
