Resurrecting a Marriage

johnny-cashThis statement from Johnny Cash sums up what a really good loving relationship should feel like. Whether you are married or in a committed relationship you need to have this type of feeling about your partner or else something needs to be repaired. Many times over the years people lose the passion, kindness, and love that they had in the beginning. You have to jump start those emotions once again. It takes time but it can be done. Anything worth having takes patience and work.

Nowadays people are so stressed by the rush of modern life and have so little time that they forget that it takes work to keep their relationship alive and healthy.

When a couple does come together they talk about their problems-Be it financial, children, health, or work. Of course there are problems in our lives, but when that is the emphasis of a conversation with your mate, then you do have a problem.  You have to learn how to put aside problems and focus on each other.

So how can you get the spark going again in your relationship? First and foremost is to remember why you came together and fell in love in the first place. Things may have changed over time, but in the beginning of the relationship there was excitement and romance. And this is what needs to be brought back to your relationship to get the sparks going again.

It is important to set aside at least one night a week for date night. A date night should be treated just like you would if you were going out on a date with someone for the first time. You would not be talking about your problems you would be focused on the other person.

If you have small children these things can be done after they have gone to bed and are fast asleep. If your children are older you can arrange a sleepover for them or even a babysitter so that you have time to focus on your mate. If you have no children or your children are grown, you do not have to worry about it.

Here are some suggestions to put the romance back into your life.

  1. Write out an invitation for date night and send it to your mate.
  2. For the man be sure and bring your date flowers.
  3. Have a barbecue outside for just the two of you.
  4. Watch the first movie you ever saw – once again. Make popcorn and have a glass of wine as you watch this.
  5. Cook dinner together. Make a special desert such as cookies and eat them fresh from the oven.
  6. Place lit candles throughout the living room or light a fire in the fireplace.
  7. Have a theme night. Dress up as your favorite characters from movie, music, or literature. Plan this in advance to have food appropriate to your theme and have a movie to watch based on your theme.
  8. Order takeout food and feed one another.
  9. Give each other a massage, even if it’s only the neck and shoulders. You will be surprised at how a massage can stimulate both of you.
  10. Play board games or cards. The loser has to do something for the other person.
  11. Put on music and dance together. There’s nothing more romantic than a slow dance.
  12. Put on your sexiest lingerie under your clothes. Play strip poker.
  13. Go out and play miniature golf.
  14. Read together by candle light or firelight.
  15. Have breakfast in bed for dinner and then snuggle under the covers.
  16. Make out during the movie, just like you would on a date.

These are just a few suggestions to help you put back the fire in your relationship. The two of you came together for reason and with a bit of effort you can have the same feelings reignited once more.

When you and your mate are together do your best to put the worries of the world aside and focus on each other. This may take time to get into the swing of it, but once you start having date night regularly it will become something that you both are looking forward to.

I hope that you get to experience paradise every day with your loved one.

Many blessings,
Cherokee Billie

Happy Mother’s Day 2015

mothers-day-cbWishing ALL the beautiful.. Hardworking.. Dedicated.. Sexy.. Generous and Loving moms (and grandmas) living and in spirit a fabulous Mother’s Day!  Also, to would be mothers who are enjoying the life that grows within them-celebrate!  For all of the mothers of fur, feathered, fin, and reptile babies’ thank you for taking care of these wonderful creatures.

My mother is in spirit and I look forward to the time that we’re reunited. Thank you for everything you gave me Mama.

I am grateful for my fur babies, Isis and Tigre. Isis passed into spirit last week and now there is a large hole in my heart. Tigre is still with me for now. I never had children, but I’ve had many wonderful animal babies.

I was thinking of the ladies that never had children and have wanted to. There is a wonderful chapter in the Bible that speaks about women who never had children and how they will have more children because of their spiritual work. This has always been very comforting to me as I never had children.

Isaiah 54:1 “Sing, O barren, you that did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you that did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, said the Lord.

In my life I have found this passage to be very true. I believe that some of us are destined to be spiritual Mothers.  Spiritual mothers have more children than any one woman can have by birth.

Never feel that you are alone, remember that so many people out there need what you have to offer. Never underestimate you. Use your gifts and you’ll be amazed at how many spiritual children you will have.

For all of You Fabulous Mothers may your day be blessed with love, beauty, and compassion. Never forget how special you are!

“All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.” – Abraham Lincoln

Many blessings to all Mothers,

Here is a tribute to my mother and it’s a lovely story about what happened after she passed in to spirit. I know that this will bring joy to many of you

My Little Girl’s Grave

Isis Grave33Today marks one week since Isis crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  This is a picture of her grave.  The doctor put her in a special casket and buried her in his backyard.  He just sent me this picture and I had to share it.  It broke my heart to see it. You can tell this doctor has an incredibly kind heart.  I miss Isis so much.

I have to deal with my other cat Tigre being incredibly sick with a kidney infection and possible diabetes, and praying that she does not pass as I feel it would be too heavy a burden all at once on me. Tigre has been hospitalized this last week as well.  So I’ve been alone since the passing of Isis.

I have lost many of my babies over my lifetime, but Isis was the most special one of them all. I have her collar hanging on my monitor, which she layed under so frequently. I know that she’s still visits and that we will be together again. It just does not diminish the pain and the emptiness. Many of you know that I am bedridden and these two babies have been all the family that I’ve had for many years. They have been my constant companions. They are the best!

I want to thank all of you who have expressed your condolences and a special thanks to those of you who have helped contribute to paying the veterinary bills.

With love,

Full Flower Moon May 04, 2015

flower-moon-copia copiaThe biggest and brightest full moon of the year arrives Monday night as our celestial neighbor passes closer to Earth than usual. May 4, 2015 at 03:42 UTC

As soon as the sun sets on May 4, check out the full moon rising in the east. It’s traditionally known as the flower or milk moon by Native American cultures. Can you guess how this full Moon got its name? That’s right 🙂 Flowers are becoming abundant now. They are literally everywhere. It can also be known as the Corn Planting Moon, the Milk Moon, and the Hare Moon. The Earth is most fertile right now so it’s time to start planting!

This closeness will also make the moon appear a bit bigger in the sky than usual, hence the name “supermoon.” While the visual effect may not be all that “super” to the unaided eye, it will offer some great photo opportunities for West Islanders with telephoto lenses, as it rises above the St. Lawrence River at sunset.

Let’s just hope for clear skies.

In terms of planet watching, two neighboring planets – Mars and Saturn – dominate high in the southern sky long after dusk all month long.

Look just to the lower right of orange hued Mars and find the 78-light-yeardistant brilliant white star named Regulus, the brightest member of the constellation Leo.

Saturn is to the far lower left of Mars in the southern sky after sunset. The ringed planet appears as a brilliant yellow colored star. Amazing to think that we see this 1.5-billion-kilometre-distant gas giant, like we do all the other planets on display, due to sunlight reflecting of its surface.

Just like the Red Planet, Saturn is also paired with a bright star; its companion, shining just below is 263-light-year-distant Spica, in the constellation Virgo.

Meantime, Venus is still the brightest in the western evening skies.

As the month progresses, observers will notice that it is making a steady plunge toward the glow of the sunset each progressive night. But by training a steadily held pair of binoculars or a small telescope at the planet, its crescent shape is easily revealed under high magnification.

It’s a great night to plant something in the garden. Get a baby sapling and plant it in honor of this full moon! Bring fresh flowers into your house, or design a headband made of flowers for yourself.

The energy on the night of a full moon is very powerful. It’s a perfect night to recharge your energy.

So let the emphasis to be on you! Use this night to draw down the energy of the moon and empower yourself for your work and what you wish throughout the month.

Don’t miss this wonderful evening!

The full moon is the perfect time to let go of the past and one of the best ways you can do this is by using the burning bowl ceremony. Watch the video for instructions.

Full moon blessings my friends!
