Remembering Lauren Bacall 1924-2014

Lauren Bacall 1924-2014

Lauren Bacall 1924-2014

“Legends are all to do with the past and nothing to do with the present.”Lauren Bacall

Lauren Bacall was an American film and stage actress and model, known for her distinctive husky voice and sultry looks.  She first emerged as a leading lady in the Humphrey Bogart film To Have and Have Not(1944) and continued on in the film noir genre, with appearances in Bogart movies The Big Sleep (1946), Dark Passage (1947), and Key Largo (1948), as well as comedic roles in How to Marry a Millionaire (1953) with Monroe and Designing Woman (1957) with Gregory Peck. Bacall worked on Broadway in musicals, earning Tony Awards for Applause in 1970 and Woman in 1981. Her performance in the movie The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996) earned her a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination.

In 1999, Bacall was ranked #20 of the 25 actresses on the AFI’s 100 Years…100 Stars list by the American Film Institute. In 2009, she was selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to receive an Academy Honorary Award “in recognition of her central place in the Golden Age of motion pictures.”

She was one of my all time favorite actresses.  I love watching the movies she made with her husband Humphrey Bogart.  She had a long successful life and now is reunited with her great love Bogie.  I know she is at peace.

It seems that when someone famous dies there are always three celebrity deaths in a row. I’ve just noticed the pattern over the years.

Lauren Bacall deserves recognition for all of the work that she did through the years.

Rest gently beautiful lady,
Cherokee Billie

Robin Williams 1951-2014

Robin Williams
I just heard the sad news about Robin Williams committing suicide. We are the same age and he’s been a part of my life for so long. One of the truly great comedians of our time. No matter what someone may have or achieve we do not know what’s going on within them. I have written a great deal on Suicide because I want people to understand all the different aspects of it. I have sent up prayers and know that he is at peace at last. Remember to always pray for others because you do not know what burden they may be carrying.

Please comment and leave your thoughts about Robin Williams.

God bless everyone.

Full Moon Release Ceremony

Full Moon Release Ceremony
There are many different ways to do a Full Moon release. Here are some of my favorites!

Write down all of the things
that you would like to release
on a piece of paper

Grab a pot or something safe to burn paper in
and your written releases
and head outside under the full moon
Read your releases out loud under the full moon
and then burn them
Thank the moon and the universe and put out the fire!

Full Moon Blessings,

Full Sturgeon Super Moon-August 10, 2014

Full Sturgeon Super Moon-August 10, 2014, Click Picture To Read Article
The full moon phase for this month will be on August 10th (18:23 UTC.) Guess what? This month’s full moon is this year’s “super moon” — it is ultimately the largest moon we will have for 2014. This is because on Aug. 10, the moon will be it’s nearest to the earth for the entire year.

The Perseid meteor showers flash across skies annually in August when the Earth passes through debris trails of shattered comets. Set to peak Aug. 11-13, this year’s event coincides with a Supermoon, a moon that shines 30 percent brighter than a normal full moon. The Supermoon will begin to reach fullness on Sunday, Aug. 10.

The August full moon is also known as Full Sturgeon Moon named after the Native Americans. The Sturgeon moon is remarkably named after the sturgeons of fish available around the Great Lakes, however the tribes in the southern part of the Americas name it the Full Red moon because of the heat the moon seems red and hazy. In European nations it was the named Green corn moon after the corns appear to have green leaves and grains are at its highest peaks.

When the Moon is full, the pull linking of the Moon on one side of the earth and the Sun following creates and unbalanced draw and as humans since we are 80% water it many have a great affect on our own bodily water levels including the earths atmosphere.

This is also known as the second moon of Shawnodese, Spirit Keeper of the South is the Ripe Berries Moon (July 23 to August 22) position on the Native American Medicine Wheel. Iron and garnet are the mineral totems for this moon, raspberry is the plant totem, and the sturgeon is the animal totem. The color is red, and the Thunderbird clan influences the position.

Iron teaches people in this position about their strength and garnet shows them their heart is the source of that strength. From the raspberry they learn about their sweetness and the thorns they project to protect this part of themselves from other people. The sturgeon shows them their depth and their need to teach. The Ripe Berries Moon teaches them how to work from the heart center, how to demonstrate affection, how to face fears, and how to develop leadership abilities. This moon helps develop courage and power. People experiencing the sturgeon energy need to guard against impulsiveness, arrogance, and a tendency to dominate any scenario.

Love meteor showers? Better plan to stargaze on the on the evening of Aug. 12 towards the early morning of August 13. This year’s Perseids meteor shower will peak on these said dates.

The Perseids meteor shower occurs from July 17 to around Aug. 24. When this event peaks, the night sky becomes a beautiful backdrop to more than 60 meteors at a time.

This month’s new moon, on the other hand, will occur on the 25th at 12:23 UTC.

Remembering Sharon Tate 45 Years Later!

Sharon Marie Tate Polanski January 24, 1943 – August 9, 1969

Sharon Marie Tate Polanski January 24, 1943 – August 9, 1969

From Great Tragedy Can Come Blessings!

August 9 marks the 45th anniversary of the passing of beloved 60’s actress, Sharon Tate. By all accounts, she was a remarkably beautiful, kind, and down-to-earth person. She was also a talented and bright rising star as well as an expectant mother. She was a popular model in the 60’s because of her outstanding beauty. She never had a bad word to say about anybody. Everyone who knew her loved her because of her kindness and sweetness. Mia Farrow said she was as “sweet and pure a human being as I have ever known”, while Patty Duke remembered her as “a gentle, gentle creature. I was crazy about her, and I don’t know anyone who wasn’t”.

Roman Polanski has stated that he still remembers her and the time that they were together as the happiest in his life. He said she always carefully packed his suitcase and whenever he travels he always remembers that.

I became a fan of hers in 1967 when I saw her performance in Valley Of The Dolls. She stood out from all of the others in the movie not just because of her beauty, but something within her made me admire her.

It is a huge disservice to Sharon’s legacy that she is often remembered for the wrong reasons. Sharon Tate was so much more than just a murder victim. I believe that a greater emphasis should be placed on the amazing life that she led during her all too brief time on Earth rather than focusing solely on her tragic death.

She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award as “New Star of the Year 1967 – Actress” for her Valley of the Dolls performance. She placed fourth behind Mia Farrow, Judy Geeson and Katharine Houghton for a “Golden Laurel” award as the year’s “Most Promising Newcomer” with the results published in the Motion Picture Exhibitor magazine. She was also runner-up to Lynn Redgrave in the Motion Picture Herald’s poll for “The Star of Tomorrow”, in which box-office drawing power was the main criterion for inclusion on the list. These results indicated that her career was beginning to accelerate and for her next film, she negotiated a fee of $150,000 period
At the time of this tragic murder the media blamed the victims for their death because they were considered hippies and drug addicts.

“In death, they made a monster out of her. A monster out of the sweetest, most innocent, lovable human being. She was kindness itself to everybody and everything around her — people, animals, everything. She just didn’t have a bad bone in her body. She was a unique person. It’s difficult to describe her character. She was just utterly good, the kindest human being I’ve ever met, with an extreme patience. To live with me was proof of her patience, because to be near me must be an ordeal. She never had a bad temper, she was never moody. She enjoyed being a wife. The press and the public knew of her physical beauty, but she also had a beautiful soul, and this is something that only her friends knew about.”- Roman Polanski

Sharon’s mother Doris Tate went into deep mourning for many years over the loss of her precious daughter. She was shaken out of her mourning when she was notified that some of the murderers were up for parole. She became a strong force testifying at parole hearings for the murderers of her daughter, making sure that they serve their sentences for the crimes they committed.

For the rest of her life, she strongly campaigned against the parole of each of the Manson killers, and worked closely with other victims of violent crime. Several times, she confronted Charles Watson at parole hearings, explaining, “I feel that Sharon has to be represented in that hearing room. If they’re (the killers) pleading for their lives, then I have to be there representing her.” She addressed Watson directly during her victim impact statement in 1984: “What mercy, sir, did you show my daughter when she was begging for her life? What mercy did you show my daughter when she said, ‘Give me two weeks to have my baby and then you can kill me.’ When will Sharon come up for parole? Will these seven victims and possibly more walk out of their graves if you get paroled? You cannot be trusted.”

In 1992, President George Bush recognized Doris Tate as one of his “thousand points of light” for her volunteer work on behalf of victims’ rights.

Because of Doris Tate the Victims Right Program was formed and this has gone on to help millions of people who have been victims of violent crimes. She worked to raise public awareness about the United States corrections system and was influential in the amendment of California laws relating to the victims of violent crime Doris passed on in 1992, but her family has kept her legacy going by founding the Doris Tate Victims’ Rights Foundation.

Sharon Tate’s biographer, Greg King, holds a view often expressed by members of the Tate family, writing in Sharon Tate and the Manson Murders (2000): “Sharon’s real legacy lies not in her movies or in her television work. The very fact that, today, victims or their families in California are able to sit before those convicted of a crime and have a voice in the sentencing at trials or at parole hearings, is largely due to the work of Doris [and Patti] Tate. Their years of devotion to Sharon’s memory and dedication to victims’ rights… have helped transform Sharon from mere victim, [and] restore a human face to one of the twentieth century’s most infamous crimes.”

Out of this deep tragedy there has been a blessing prior to this tragedy there was no support for crime victims. Sharon’s life had great meaning and her death has helped millions.

Her spirit is at peace. As a psychic medium I have spent time finding out if Sharon is a ghost. I know that many believe that she still walks around as a ghost. I have not found that to be the case. When she died she went immediately into the spirit world, along with her baby. Its heart breaking to see, but the police photographs taken of her at the murder site shows a smile on her face. In that last moment of life I know that the angels came and took her. The sightings that have been reported have been dark spirits that mimic her and what occurred. Sharon, along with her deceased loved ones, work spiritually to help those who have gone through great tragedies.

Sharon you will always live on in the hearts of your loved ones and devoted fans. Gone, but never forgotten.

Bless your beautiful spirit Sharon,
