Thank you for sharing this video with us Cherokee Billie. I love the part where Alice Walker said “we are the divine”, that divinity is within all of us and it is up to us to find it in ourselves. God’s light can only shine as brightly as we all let it shine and the love of a mother for her child is a very bright light of divine love.

I know for myself, having children helped me find that light within myself. Being a mother is a great gift and a great responsibility. I remember reading that Jacqueline Onassis said regarding motherhood-“”If I fail at this, nothing else matters.” Being a good and loving mother is one of the most important jobs in the world and sets the tone for humanity. The Dalai Lama attributes mothers with influencing their children to be compassionate adults. He credits his mother for teaching him and making him the man he is today. This is a lovely tribute to motherhood. Thank you again and Happy Mother’s Day to you as well Cherokee Billie! xo Catarina
