God Speak To Me!

The man whispered, “God, speak to me.”
And a meadowlark sang. But the man did not hear.

So the man yelled, “God, speak to me!”
Thunder rolled across the sky. But the man did not listen.

The man looked around and said, “God, let me see you.”
A star shone brightly. But he noticed it not.

And the man shouted, “God, show me a miracle.”
And a life was born. But the man was unaware.

So, the man cried out in despair, “Touch me, God, and let me know that you are here!”

Whereupon God reached down and touched the man.
But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

Moral: Don’t miss out on a blessing because it isn’t packaged the way you expect.

    Dear Cherokee:
Wonderful story! I loved it. God communicates with us in many ways, but sometimes we do not realize. God blesses us, giving us another day full of blessings and opportunities and is always with us waiting for our call, because God thirsts for man’s love for Him
God is present in every human being, and are full of love from him but sometimes we can not realize this. Sometimes we expect great miracles to say that God was present and spoke. But we forget that life and existence show us the Creator. We could not live without Him
God is manifested in little things, simple or not notice, a change in our way of seeing life, or our capacity to love.
God always be with us, He is our Father and loving care for their children.
    Love to everyone.
    Anabella

    • Dear Anabella:
It is so true that God craves our love. He watches and waits for us to acknowledge Him. Thank you for a brilliant post.
      Many blessings,

Oh Cherokee Billie- This post said it all so simply and sweetly. Why do people make God so complicated and why do they fight and argue and even kill over who can “see” Him best? God is the light inside of all of us. The L.O.V.E. We chose whether to shine His light or suppress it and then we wonder where He is? It’s like when we walk around asking where our glasses are and all the time they were sitting on our head!

Why can’t people just see God in simpler terms and all agree that all their personal ideologies and dogma are unecessary. God is Love. Simple and irrefutable. If people just realized that all around the world there would be no need for bickering over who is right and who is wrong and the world wouldn’t be in such as mess.

    • Dear Catarina:
Brilliant lesson you put here about walking around looking for our glasses when they’re on top of our head. And I do agree that people make God, the Angels, and Spiritual Messengers more complicated than they are. It’s all quite simplistic. If the people in the world can become enlightened what a wonderful place this would be. Thank you for your post.
      Many blessings,
      Cherokee Billie

  3. Hallo Cherokee,it`s such a beautiful story I enjoyed it very much!Thank you!The really important things we are searching for are always so near to us,but we are often to blind to see this. Love to everyone! Karina

    • Dear Karina:
This is why we need to keep our spiritual eyes open so that we can see the blessings that come our way. I hope everything is going well for you and I pray for your health.
      Many blessings,

I think that so many times we try to put God in a box with our expectations. Then when we pray, we proceed to outlin or list what is to happen and how and then we go looking for it. When answers come, we miss them because they weren’t how we thought they would be. We need to listen with our heart instead of thinking with our brains so much sometimes. God and Spirit are so much bigger than our little boxes, and we would be so much more surprised if we just let Him do it His way and not ours. I’m sure that many times He looks at us and just shakes His head, smiles, and says that He loves us no matter what…whether we get it or not….I am very thankful that He does! 🙂

  5. I love this, thank you so much for posting it Cherokee.

  6. Love this article. Our Creator is all around us everywhere we look. He is also in our hearts. Take the time to listen, and look you will find God everywhere. I try to atleast one time a day say God I love you, and thank you for everything you have given me (us). Also thanks for posting this Cherokee Billie.

  7. Thanks for this article. I love it! God is always there. Sometimes being human we can’t see the big picture.

    Dear Cherokee Billie,

Wish everything is well with you! Thank you for this wonderful post.

I confess I sometimes wish God would show me things, when in reality he has shown me everything already. That’s what has intrigued me for some time. Even though I know He is there and He craves for our love, I sometimes feel I ask Him too much: for my family, for my health, friends, job…. I just can’t help feeling a bit selfish sometimes. Or even too demanding. In my prayers, I always apologize for asking too much. (Am I out of my mind??)

Anyway, knowing that He is there even though we can not see Him with our human eyes, is so soothing and healing. I am going to have another medical exam tomorrow – the MRI – and I know He is going to be there, holding my hand. That comforts me so much. What a wonderful feeling it is!

Wishing you all the very best,
    Karina de Cillo

    • Dear Karina:
it’s wonderful that you have such faith and belief because that’s what’s going to pull you through life. Yes, he will be there with you throughout the MRI and afterwards. I keep praying for you can know that things will be all right for you. Thank you for sending out so much love to everybody here.
      Many blessings,
      Cherokee Billie
